Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP is home to one of the premier environmental and energy practices nationally. This is not happenstance, but was the product of dedication and leadership of visionaries like Henry Nickel.  Henry joined the firm in the mid-1970s. His career progression tracked the modern environmental law era, much of which Henry helped shape through his client representation before EPA, state regulatory agencies and the courts. He has participated in virtually every significant rulemaking under the Clean Air Act, including those involving new source permitting, hazardous air pollution, ambient air quality standards, new source performance standards, noncompliance penalties, visibility protection, tribal air programs, and greenhouse gas regulation. Henry is a great strategist, negotiator and litigator. We felt it is only fitting to name our blog “The Nickel Report” in honor of his impact on the legal industry. We hope to continue to provide the same profound insights to our clients as Henry has for more than 35 years.
